Too much money?

OK so the sums involved in the reunion are vast. And many spice girls fans are so pleased that they simply don't care. However we've also received a lot of mails from people who are (or were fans) giving their viewpoint. At the end of the day all of us at spicegirls.co.uk are really glad they're back together. But in the interests of enabling fans to express their opinions I am going to post one post (at the request of the original contact) showing the other viewpoint which you are welcome to comment on.

Instead of receiving a reported £10 million EACH for the tour, why don't they donate the money to the people who have lost everything [homes ,clothes, possessions etc..]in the horrendous floods around the UK.That would mean £40-50 million to help these people! These "singers" have an amazing amount of money already..why do they want MORE? They have husbands/partners who earn very well[!],fantastic homes[or 2 or 3],endless selection of clothes/cars and don't have to worry about getting to a 9-5 job to try and earn enough for their families. So why on earth do they want more money. The interest on their money probably way exceeds what some of these people earn in a week/month/year ,probably. Be kind,girls..think of other less fortunate than yourselves and help them out. I bet your fans would think more of you for donating money to them, than receiving it for your own use. Whatever are you on about? I think that if you are not a fan anymore then you should put your time to better use. Personally I think that we are blessed to have the spice girls reform and to doubters, donate your own money. This is for fun and girl power not for small minded little boys to feel intimidated over!!!! Stop trying to p**s on the parade little boy.

So why do you decide to pick on the spice girls with this issue??? Try the government?? If this is how you feel about them then i hope your also selling all your albums of all your other bands and donating that money.

I think it is ridiculous that the asking price for a London gig is £341.00 - I like the spice girls, but this is pure greed. What about those of us who can't afford £34 no matter £341 plus expenses?

What I really really want is good value for money and this it aint!

If you want to see a good gig go and see The Police for £160!

me amd my mates were excited at the chance 2 go and see the girls in concert and were willing 2 pay a fair price 4 the privilige. however what they r charging is disgusting and unrealistic 2 the majority of their old fans, many of which have kids of their own these days and households 2 run. girl power? i think not! more like greed. they should be ashamed of themselves and remember where they were before they hit the bigtime and had millions in the bank.

i dont see why any person should have to give up there earnings to charity! why do people always go on about celebrities should give up there earnings to charity? if u make money u have the right to keep it to yourself... but... i beleive if any celebrity starts protesting to give up your cash for a charity, then they should set the example by giving a decent amount, like bono or madonna, apparently shes worth like £400m, she dont need all that, bono is also worth hundreds of millions, just between them 2 they could make a huge difference by giving up £100m each, and it wouldnt even effect them... or they could even do what elton john does, he doesnt take any profit from his singles, it all goes to charity! as i said, i dont beleive any celebrity should have to give up there money, but if they want to protest, then set the example!!!
and r the spice girls really charging £341 a ticket??? if so then that really is greed!!!

All of you aren't true fans at all. I have waited years for a reunion and have frequently said that i would pay good money to see it happen.

I doubt very much that the prices for a ticket is £341, and even if they were so what! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and i know i'll pay anything to be there!

In my opinion Spice Girls sounds more like business now. For what I've seen the ticket prices are way too high! what are they thinking?
And yeah! I think that the ones who have money should give at least a little bit to the ones that actually need it, and HELL YEAH these should concern to the girls and ALL THE PEOPLE who has an opportunity to HELP because they are people like everyone else who lives in this world!.
U know I've been fan since kid (and always be) and I probably could afford all that money, but it's not right and fare to extortionate the fans + I won't let anyone to brainwash me with nonsense publicity and statements, please have some DIGNITY...
Anyways SPICE GIRLS are there because all of us (including rich & poor)! So don't forget THAT!
If this unfairly prices continues (because u gotta think on additional expenses) I'll DECLINE to the concert, Just Like That!.
